Can CactusRack fit in low-profile or alpine roof boxes?

Yes! CactusRack offers low-profile models specifically designed for roof boxes with limited interior height.

Our Low-Profile series provides an efficient way to organize and protect your skis while making the most of the available space.

Because every roof box has different internal dimensions and contours, we recommend checking our Roof Box Compatibility Guide before ordering.

How do I choose the right CactusRack size?

Choosing the right CactusRack depends on three main factors: your roof box's interior dimensions, the number of pairs of skis you want to carry, and the available height inside your box.

Our models are available in different sizes and capacities to accommodate various roof box configurations.

The easiest way to find your ideal setup is to consult our Roof Box Compatibility Guide. If you're unsure, our team will gladly help you select the right model.

Capacity & Ski Protection

How many pairs of skis can CactusRack hold?

Depending on the model, CactusRack can accommodate 3, 4, 5, 6, or 8 pairs of skis in a single roof box.

Our space-efficient design helps maximize your roof box's storage capacity while keeping skis organized and separated.

Whether you're traveling with your family, heading to a ski race, or carrying multiple pairs for different snow conditions, there's a CactusRack configuration designed for your needs.

Actual capacity depends on your roof box dimensions, ski widths, and equipment configuration.

How does CactusRack protect ski edges and bindings?

Unlike stacking skis loosely inside a roof box, CactusRack keeps your skis organized and separated during transportation.

This helps prevent skis from rubbing against each other, reducing the risk of scratches, damaged edges, and unwanted contact between bindings.

CactusRack also elevates your skis above the bottom of the roof box, helping keep them away from accumulated water and melted snow.

Can I carry race skis, all-mountain skis, and touring skis?

CactusRack is designed to accommodate a wide variety of skis, including racing, recreational, all-mountain, and many touring skis.

Its modular design and rubber supports help accommodate different ski shapes and thicknesses.

For skis with unusual dimensions or specific binding configurations, we recommend contacting our team to confirm the best setup.

Whether you're transporting carefully tuned race skis or your everyday mountain equipment, CactusRack helps keep everything organized and protected.

Can I use CactusRack for snowboards?

Absolutely! CactusRack isn't just for skis.

You can mix skis and snowboards in the same rack, making it a versatile solution for families and groups with different equipment.

We also offer dedicated snowboard racks, specifically designed to keep your snowboards organized, protected, and securely stored inside your roof box.

Can CactusRack help prevent rust on ski edges?

Yes! One of the advantages of CactusRack is that it keeps skis elevated above the bottom of your roof box.

During winter transportation, snow and ice can melt and accumulate as water inside the box. When ski edges remain in contact with moisture for extended periods, corrosion can develop.

By keeping your skis raised and separated, CactusRack helps reduce prolonged contact with accumulated water.

For the best protection, we still recommend drying your skis after use and avoiding long-term storage in a damp roof box.

Engineering & Everyday Use

Is CactusRack durable enough for extreme winter conditions?

Absolutely! CactusRack was developed through more than two years of research, development, and material testing.

Our supports are injection-molded from fiberglass-reinforced nylon, an engineering-grade material selected for its strength, impact resistance, and performance across changing temperatures.

This material allows us to create lightweight yet durable components designed to withstand the demands of regular ski transportation.

We're so confident in our products that every CactusRack comes with a 3-year warranty against defects and breakage.

Will CactusRack move around inside my roof box?

CactusRack features a non-slip rubber base designed to provide grip against the interior surface of your roof box.

This design helps keep the rack in position during normal transportation without requiring permanent mounting hardware.

Does CactusRack require drilling or permanent installation?

Not at all!

CactusRack is designed for quick, tool-free installation. Simply place the rack inside your compatible roof box, position it correctly, and load your skis.

There are no screws, drilling, adhesives, or permanent modifications required.

This also means you can easily remove your CactusRack when you need the full interior space of your roof box for other equipment.

Can I use CactusRack for garage or wall storage?

Absolutely!

CactusRack works in both horizontal and vertical orientations, making it a versatile storage solution beyond your roof box.

Use it to organize your skis in your garage, ski room, or other suitable storage space.

For wall installations, make sure the rack is properly supported and securely mounted using an appropriate setup.

Where is CactusRack made?

CactusRack is proudly made in Canada!

We source high-quality components from trusted suppliers around the world, and our products are assembled in Canada.

This approach allows us to combine quality materials, specialized manufacturing processes, and Canadian craftsmanship to deliver a durable, reliable product built for ski enthusiasts.

Value & Purchase Confidence

Why choose CactusRack over other roof box ski racks?

CactusRack combines high storage capacity, ski protection, durable materials, and convenient installation in one thoughtfully engineered solution.

With configurations accommodating up to 8 pairs of skis, CactusRack helps maximize the available space inside your roof box while keeping your equipment organized and separated.

Unlike solutions that require permanent modifications, CactusRack installs without drilling or screws. Its fiberglass-reinforced nylon construction and non-slip rubber base are designed for durability and everyday convenience.

Add our Perfect Fit Guarantee and product warranty, and you have a ski storage solution designed to deliver long-term value and peace of mind.

Is CactusRack worth the investment?

We believe great value is about more than the initial purchase price.

CactusRack is designed to maximize the number of pairs of skis you can transport in your roof box, helping you get more storage capacity from your investment.

Its durable construction, ski-protecting design, and versatile storage options add value beyond simply holding your skis.

While CactusRack may not be the least expensive rack upfront, its combination of capacity, protection, and long-term durability makes it a compelling choice for skiers who value their equipment.

Every CactusRack comes with a 3-year product warranty covering manufacturing defects and eligible breakage under the warranty terms.
